Steps:

1. Draw a circle as a head sketch. Don't worry if it's sloppy, these are just sketches! They are meant to be wavy and stuff (As a hippie would say: GO WITH THE FLOW!) Just try to avoid ovals or square like circles

2. Draw a back line and the beginnings of the leg. The back is not perfectly straight no matter what position the animal is in, so make sure it has some kind of curve. The beginnings of the legs go out kind of, and do not start at the underbelly, but more at the top or shoulder.

3. Finish the legs by making them curve back, then out again in somewhat of a paw fashion. Sketch the underbelly and beginning of back leg as well as the top of the tail. Fix sketch as needed.

4. Finish the back legs with the same way as the front legs. In the back legs, where it curves out, towards the back is a kind of "loop" unlike the front legs. Also the start is different, it starts going down while the front legs go out.

5. Finish the tail, make sure you take in account how fluffy or non-fluffy the animal is, add a nose (note: Some animals have smaller noses!) and add ears (ears are also different). Lastly add the fluff/non-fluff of the chest and WALLA your sketch is done!
